Saying Goodbye
Tony and Theresa (the couple on the right) have been friends of ours for years. Back when we were in MI, Tony and I had talked about serving together in ministry someday. The Lord graciously gave us that opportunity, and for the last (almost) six years both of them have faithfully served our church. Tony's desire is to serve as a senior pastor somewhere, and that prospect has opened. They are on their way to WY now. I watched as the truck pulled out this morning. Traci and I are happy for them, but saddened at the loss of the time we have together. Our friendship will continue, but now it must be long distance.
Our kids have practically grown up together, and Justin's best friend is one of T and T's daughters, Alyssa. He hasn't been taking their move too well. It's part of the painful life lessons of having to say goodbye, something all of our kids have had to learn.

Hey Scott,
As you have said, change is inevitable, whether we like it or not. And sometimes it is indeed bittersweet.
Work hard at maintaining that connection and relationship with Tony and his family.
