Favorite Football teams

I've always enjoyed football, and have looked forward to the season, like any football fan, for some time now. About July we begin to get the stirring, and when September hits we're ready.

I have two favorite football teams, one is the Kansas City Chiefs. I've faithfully followed them through good years and bad, and there's been more bad than good. The team lost on Sunday, but I knew this was going to be a tough year, with a new coach and new schemes to run. The bummer is losing Trent Green this week. He is getting up in years for a football player, and doesn't have too many years left before retiring. Still, this should be an exciting year, at least for the offense.

My other favorite team? Anyone who plays the Raiders. As passionately as I root for the Chiefs, I just as passionately root against the Raiders. They have a reputation for playing dirty, and for good reason. So it was with great joy I watched as the Chargers spanked the hapless Raiders. The satisfaction with seeing them lose far outweighed the disappointment with the Chiefs loss. If the Raiders play like they played against the Chargers, it's going to be a very good year!
