Attempting to Dethrone Jesus

Are you amazed by all the news articles and books about Jesus? The last two days our paper has had something about Jesus (“Jesus May have walked on Ice”, and “’Gospel’ suggests Judas Didn’t Betray Jesus”). Prime Time Live, on ABC, did a segment on the Gospel of Judas Thursday night, and National Geographic is airing a drama on Sunday night based on the same thing. I’m currently reading two books on the issue of Jesus and His divinity (or lack thereof, according to both). The books are:

• The Jesus Papers, Michael Baigent
• The Jesus Dynasty, James D. Tabor

There is nothing new under the sun. Ever since Jesus birth, death and resurrection, someone has been trying to debunk the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. So here we go again, the next round of “scholars” and "historians" attempting to reveal “new truth” that will dispel Christianity. Eventually they will fade into the sun, but the truth will continue to win out. It has for 2000 years, and will continue to do so.
